Through a simple online survey to people in the U.S., between April and May of 2015, we look at how the general public interprets and perceives rain chances, commonly known as Probability of Precipitation, or PoPs, in forecasts. This is the overview of the results. A pdf of all general comments is here. See results from a similar survey given to meteorologists. Watch a presentation of the survey conclusions here on the AMS past conferences web page.
